  1. Where does ecokinesis work?
We work in the Greater Toronto Area, but will make special consideration for clients outside of this area if they are a particularly good fit with our services and experience. We meet clients at their offices, or at our office in the Centre for Social Innovation in downtown Toronto.

  2. How much does it cost to work with ecokinesis?
Ecokinesis' fees are both reasonable and competitive. We are eager to make our mark in the industry so we'll go the extra mile for your good recommendation. If consultants fees are too pricey, and you're not interested in creating a new staff position, you can hire ecokinesis as a short-term project manager for a set fee that works with your budget.

  3. Will ecokinesis work with non-profit and charitable organizations?
In addition to workplace greening, we offer services specially tailored to the needs of non-profits and charities in the social and environmental sectors.

  4. What are the benefits of workplace greening?
The payoffs to workplace greening are wide ranging -- they start with easy savings on energy bills, and range all the way to increased market share through green-niche products and services, to increased employee retention.

  5. Is it true that "going green" costs more?
Greening is about changes in behaviour, not just about purchasing new technology or products. This means that deep savings can be made just by getting staff involved in visioning, planning and implementing programs through social marketing and incentives for leadership. New purchases have upfront costs, to be sure, but many of these are short-term. Long-term savings from reducing energy, water and waste "footprints" can further add to return on your investment, and taking advantage of government incentive programs can make larger investments feasible as well.

  6. Will ecokinesis implement an office greening plan for us?
Yes. We can work with your staff team to lead a project. We believe that the most sustained and valuable changes will come when staff and management are the driving force behind any greening program, whether big or small. Ecokinesis will facilitate group meetings and workshops, support your plans with background research, and coach you through every step of the way as you plan, implement, trouble-shoot and keep your Keen Greens vibrant.

  8. Is ecokinesis environmentally and socially responsible?
Ecokinesis was created as a direct result of our founder's long-time life practice, not as a way to take advantage of the growing green economy. We like to "practice what we preach" by keeping our carbon footprints small, offsetting what we can't reduce, using eco-friendly cleaning and paper products, purchasing locally and fair trade where we can, giving to local and international charities, and supporting like-minded businesses by participating in networks such as Green Enterprise Toronto.

  9. What does ecokinesis mean by "revolution" in its tagline?
What we're thinking of is beyond politics. We're thinking of "revolution" as both a noun and verb in the context of "movement", or a "change" that draws from natures systems, the best of humankind's less wasteful ways of the past, and the future we want for our grandchildren's grandchildren. Ecokinesis is thinking of a revolution that will bring more positivity and productivity to the way you do business. Management and staff are the drivers of this revolution - ecokinesis will help you navigate it.

  10. What does ecokinesis mean by "sustainability"?
Do a mental check of the resources you use, the waste you produce, and the labour you hire to "get to market". Now think of every other business that follows the same pattern. Does humanity and the planet have the ability to sustain this activity forever? We don't want to get to the end of our human and natural capital and then realize it's too late. Framed negatively, this is what sustainability is about avoiding. But there's a positive way to look at it too!
